Getting a daily dosage of the WWW isĀ getting closer to a certain 20+ million people in the Philippines. We are talking about getting Broadband internet access via the regular power lines which are already in place.
Although the concept of Internet over Power lines is not new, no one we know exactly implemented the solution in a mass scale like the one in Philippines.
According to the sources, one of the biggest power companies in Philippines called Manila Electric Company also known as Meralco, is very much interested in bringing Broadband Access over their power grind pretty soon.
According to Meralco, the company is already making the first steps in getting the program started with it’s testing phase currently in progress. We can’t wait to see the results when they go on all force with the project.
